Tashkent, SANA – Syria’s national football team drew 1-1 with its Uzbek counterpart in a friendly international match held Thursday at the National Stadium in Tashkent in preparation for the upcoming Asian Cup Games final.
The first half ended with 0-0 draw as the Syrian goalkeeper Ibrahim Almeh succeeded in blocking an absolute throw in the 25th minute.
Uzbek team scored the first goal from a penalty kick in the 62nd minute of the second half, and then Syria scored through player Omar al-Soumah in the 78th minute.
