Moscow, SANA – Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stressed the need to provide appropriate conditions to help the displaced Syrians return to their home after the liberation of the entire Syrian territory.
Lavrov made his remarks during a press conference with his Japanese counterpart Taro Kono. .
He noted that the two sides exchanged viewpoints on the situation in the Middle East, especially Syria, as well as the humanitarian issues with Japan expressing its interest in Russia’s initiative to establish a specialized center to enable displaced Syrians return home.
“We also agreed upon the necessity of implementing disarmament, offering humanitarian aid to the Syrian people and solving issues related to reconstruction of the country,” Lavrov added.
