Sweida, SANA – A number of citizens were martyred and others were injured on Wednesday in terrorist suicide bombing attacks in Sweida city synchronizing with Daesh (ISIS) attacks on a number of villages in the eastern and northern countryside of the province.
SANA’s reporter said that a terrorist suicide bomber blew himself up in the area of al-Souq in Sweida city, and as a result a number of citizens were martyred and others were injured.
The reporter added that the authorities hunted down two terrorist suicide bombers who had been wearing explosive belts and killed them before they were able to blow themselves up in the residential areas in the city.
Later, the authorities, in cooperation with the locals, killed a terrorist from Daesh in the area of al-Maslakh, in al-Jalaa neighborhood in the city.
On the other hand, Daesh terrorists launched terrorist attacks on the villages of al-Matouneh, Douma, Tima, al-Shabaki, and Rami in the northeastern countryside of the province, with army units confronting the terrorist attacks and killing a large number of terrorists.
Army units, in cooperation with locals, tightened the noose around a number of terrorist groups of Daesh which infiltrated to Shbaki village about 38 km to the east of Sweida city, said the reporter.
According to the reporter, army units, supported by the locals, killed scores of Daesh who were besieging families in Rami village, 15 km to the east of Sweida city.
Meanwhile, locals of Douma village killed 12 Daesh terrorists who attacked the village.
Sweida Governor Amer al-Ashshi said life in Sweida city is returning to normal, adding that all the state’s institutions are providing services to the citizens and the hospitals raised the state of readiness to offer servicers to the wounded.
Director of Sweida Health Department Hassan Amro told SANA in a statement that the medical staff in Sweida National Hospital raised the state of readiness to receive the wounded citizens due to the terrorist attacks, asserting that all necessary medical, emergency and surgical supplies are available.
