55 Palestinians martyred in massacre committed by Israeli occupation in Gaza

Occupied Al-Quds, SANA – 55 Palestinians, some of them children, were martyred, and over 2,400 others were injured as Israeli occupation forces violently suppressed the participants in the Return March on the borders between Gaza Strip and the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948.

Hundreds of thousands of Palestinians had flocked from across Gaza Strip to the borders with the Palestinian territories occupied in 1948 to mark the 70th anniversary of Nakba Day, to express rejection of the transfer of the US Embassy to the occupied Al-Quds (Jerusalem), and to affirm their adherence to their right to return.

The Israeli occupation forces responded to the march by firing artillery shells, live ammo, and tear gas.

According to the latest report by the Palestinian Health Ministry, the Israeli massacre has left 55 Palestinians martyred, including 7 children; 6 boys and a girl, in addition to injuring 2,410 others, including 203 children and 48 women.

The Ministry said that 40 of the injured are in very critical condition, and 76 are in critical condition, as more than half of the injured sustained wounds from gunfire.

The Israeli occupation forces also opened fire on medical and press crews, martyring one of the paramedics and injuring 8 others, damaging 5 ambulances, and injuring 12 journalists, the Ministry added.

The Israeli occupation also suppressed Palestinian demonstrators and arrested a number of them in other areas, including the West Bank, Al-Quds, and Ramallah.
