Hundreds of Turkish women protest Turkish regime’s aggression on Afrin

Ankara, SANA – Hundreds of Turkish women in Istanbul city demonstrated in protest of the aggression by Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s regime on Afrin city in Aleppo countryside.

A group of around 1,500 women demonstrated in Bakirkoy area in Istanbul on Monday, in protest against the Turkish offensive against Afrin.

The ongoing Turkish aggression on Afrin area, which started on January 20th, left more than 750 civilians dead or injured. Thousands of civilians were displaced due to the aggression, in addition to stopping the education process at hundreds of schools.

The Turkish aggression also destroyed the infrastructure and service, particularly the bread production plants, water pumping stations and electricity plants and archeological landmarks.

Meanwhile, the police of the Turkish regime detained 15 women who were participating in a women rally in Ankara against the Turkish aggression on Afrin area, after the Turkish police fired tear gas to disperse the protesters.

The protesters, mainly from the Ankara Women’s Platform, an NGO promoting women’s rights, had gathered in Ankara for the march called ahead of International Women’s Day on March 8.
