Army discovers network of tunnels used by Daesh in Deir Ezzor countryside

Deir Ezzor, SANA – Syrian Arab Army units discovered on Sunday a network of tunnels that had been used by Daesh (ISIS) terrorist organization in the area of Sebikhan in the southeastern countryside of Deir Ezzor.

SANA’s reporter in Deir Ezzor said that one of the tunnels is located within al-Shara mountain in Tishreen neighborhood and is 200 meters long and 100 meters deep, containing 16 rooms that were used as fortified positions for the leaders of Daesh.

The reporter added that another tunnel was found in Tishreen neighborhood in the town of Sebikhan, which branches for large distances within the residential neighborhoods and between houses, as it contained amounts of weapons and ammunition.
