Temperatures around average, rainfalls expected in most areas

Damascus, SANA- Temperatures will drop to become around average as the country is affected by a low air pressure in all layers of the atmosphere accompanied by a cold and wet air mass.

Meteorology Department expected in its Thursday bulletin that the skies will be partly cloudy to cloudy and rainy in most areas, while heavy rainfalls accompanied by thunder sometimes and snow are expected to fall over the high mountains.

The wind will be westerly to southwesterly with a moderate speed and it will become actives sporadically while the sea waves will be medium in height.

Different amounts of rainfalls have been registered in several Syrian provinces over the past 24 hours as follows: Hama 30 mm, Tartous 32mm, Lattakia 30 mm, Aleppo 10mm, Sweida 2 mm, Quneitra 5 mm and Homs 9mm.

The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 12/6, Daraa 13/9, Homs 15/7, Lattakia 16/12, Aleppo 11/4 and Deir Ezzor 15/7.
