Screening of “Fires” film at Dar al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia kicks off

Lattakia, SANA – The screening of the long feature film “Fires” started at the hall of Dar al-Assad for Culture in Lattakia on Saturday evening.

The film, composed and directed by Mohammad Abdel-Aziz, talks about the crisis in Syria from the humanitarian side in light of the terrorist war waged against the country, through four women who are striving for a better life.

In a statement to SANA following the screening of the film, Director Abdel-Aziz said that the film is talking about Syrian women and their daily struggle either against terrorism or on the social and livelihood levels.

“Fires” film won the Special Jury Award at Cairo International Film Festival, and gold award as the best integrated film at the Arab Film Festival held within Cinerama Rotterdam Festivity in Holland.
