100 families return to their liberated villages and towns in Western Qalamoun, Damascus Countryside

Damascus Countryside, SANA – More than 100 families returned on Friday to their villages and towns in the Western Qalamoun area in Damascus Countryside after the Syrian Arab Army, in cooperation with the Lebanese national resistance, restored security and stability in the area along the border between Syria and Lebanon at the end of last August.

“45 Syrian families and 64 Lebanese families that had been living together for decades returned to the town of al-Tafil and other villages after they had been forced to abandon their homes by terrorist organizations,” SANA’s reporter said.

The returning families expressed their gratitude to the Syrian Arab Army and the Lebanese resistance for the sacrifices they made to liberate their towns and to restore security and stability to them, which allowed them to return home.

These families had been forcibly displaced by terrorists and stayed for around 3 years in refugee camps in Lebanon.

Back in August, the Syrian Arab Army and the Lebanese national resistance eliminated the last of the terrorists’ hotbeds in the Western Qalamoun in Damascus Countryside after inflecting heavy losses in personnel and munitions upon Daesh (ISIS) terrorists in that area.
