Khamis: Building a generation able to maintain its identity through the most modern curricula

Damascus, SANA – The Government considers building human being a strategic priority, which is translated through the efforts exerted to guarantee the continuation of the educational process and providing its needs and requirements, and to guarantee that all students will follow up their educational attainment at their schools wherever they are, Prime Minister Imad Khamis said on Sunday.

Khamis’ remarks came during the opening of a workshop on developing the curricula of the education faculties at Damascus University, which is organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and the Ministry of Education at Ridha Saeed Hall for Conferences at Damascus University.

The 2-day workshop aims at discussing ways of training teachers and developing curricula in line with the standards adopted by the Education Ministry, in addition to discussing the latest scientific developments.

Premier Khamis indicated that the main goal behind developing the curricula is to build a generation that is able to maintain its identity, and is armed with the most modern curricula.

He stressed the need for developing the educational process and enriching scientific progress, and taking into consideration the progress in the domains of technology and knowledge.
