International Olympic Committee honors international swimmer Firas Mualla

Prague, SANA – The International Olympic Committee (IOC) and the Association of National Olympic Committees (ANOC) honored Syrian swimmer Firas Mualla in Prague for winning the bronze medal in 3
km swim 17th FINA World Masters Championships that were held in Hungary last August.

“Getting this international award is a crowning of the efforts of every Syrian athlete,” said Mualla in a statement to SANA.

It is also an additional incentive to do more and better as the secretary of the Syrian Olympic Committee and as a swimmer, he added.

The Syrian international champion is now preparing to engage in a series of international championships in long-distance and masters swimming early next year.
