Two new gas wells with capacity of 300,000 cubic meters put into service in Homs

Homs, SANA – Two new gas wells in north al-Fayed 9 and Abu Rabah 19 sites in Homs province have been put to production with a capacity of nearly 300 thousand cubic meters.

Minister of Petroleum and Mineral Resources Ali Ghanem said that first gas well in North al-Fayed 9 site is put into service with a capacity of 100 thousand cubic meters while the production capacity of Abu Rabah 19 gas well is about 200 thousand cubic meters.

Minister Ghanem reviewed rehabilitation plans and the number of oil facilities which have been rehabilitated after being restored by the Syrian army.

He noted that nearly 15 gas wells have been rehabilitated and put into production, adding that the gas production capacity has exceeded 13.5 million cubic meters in addition to producing 16 thousand barrels of crude oil per day.
