Syria, Iran sign a cooperation protocol to boost media ties

Damascus, SANA-Syria and Iran singed on Sunday a cooperation protocol to boost media ties, exchange expertise, training, news coverage and joint drama production.

The protocol was signed by Information Minister Mohamad Ramez Turjman and Chairman of Radio & TV Organization in Iran Abdul Ali Ali Askari.

“The protocol stipulates for raising the level of media coordination and cooperation through making joint drama production, exchanging expertise and training courses as well as cooperation in the field of satellites,” Minister Turjman said in a statement following the signing ceremony.

He added the protocol aims at serving the joint media project that comes in the interest of national issues in both countries, particularly the resistance axis in the face of aggression to which the region is exposed.

Askari, for his part, affirmed that the aim of the protocol is to possess a clear way for cooperation in the future and reach a mutual radio and TV production in the field of documentary films and drama.
