Premier Khamis affirms need for facing challenges to reach better economic situation

Damascus, SANA-Prime Minister, Imad Khamis, discussed on Monday with broad of directors of Damascus Countryside Chamber of Commerce issues related to trade and industry in Damascus Countryside, means to improve the work of the Chamber and the role of private sector as main partner in developmental process.

During the meeting, discussions concentrated on service issues, mainly to improve the situation of electricity in industrial areas, particularly al-Nabek and Yabroud cities, and to ensure requirements for reviving handicraft industries.

The talks also dealt with the importance of maintaining the road connecting between Syria and Iraq, giving the Industrialists the opportunity to show their products at government‘s halls.

Prime Minister pointed out to the necessity for setting a joint vision to develop relation between the government and the private sector with all different commercial and industrial factors.

He added that the government is ready to provide all forms of support to increase the process of the production.
