Moscow, SANA – Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Mikhail Bogdanov affirmed on Monday his country’s support for the Syrian efforts to achieve stability in the country.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that Bogdanov, also the Russian President Special envoy, discussed with the Syrian Ambassador to Moscow, Bashar al-Jaafari, the dangerous escalation of the situation in Syria after the terrorist attack carried out by armed groups northwest the country.
“Bogdanov stressed Russia’s principled and firm stance in supporting respect for Syria’s unity, sovereignty and territorial integrity, expressing his country’s solidarity with the Syrian leadership and people” the statement added.
