Damascus, SANA – The temperatures tend to rise slightly but remain 4 to 6 degrees below average as the country is under the influence of low air pressure accompanied by cold and wet air mass in the upper layers of the atmosphere.
The Meteorology Department expected in its Friday bulletin that there will still be a chance of rain showers over different areas, noting that snow will continue to fall over high mountains.
The Department warned of the formation of frost and ice in mountainous areas and of fog in some inland areas.
The winds will be easterly to southeasterly of low to moderate speed, and the sea waves will of of moderate height.
The expected temperatures in some of the major Syrian cities will be as follows: Damascus 10/3, Daraa 12/5, Homs 3/1, Lattakia 10/8, Aleppo 5/0 and Deir Ezzor 13/3.
