Lattakia, SANA-Prime Minister Imad Khamis visited on Thursday a number of vital and production facilities in the coastal province of Lattakia.
The visit, which comes in the framework of the government’s interest in developmental sectors, will be followed by a number of visits to other provinces.
During the visit, Khamis laid the cornerstone for vital projects including a dairy and cheese plants and a trade zone, and visited one of the facilities working in packing and sorting citrus to inspect work there.
Later, the Premier took part, together with injured army personnel, in launching an afforestation campaign for rehabilitating burnt forests, starting from al-Areen Mountain in Kurdaha.
He said his participation in the campaign alongside the injured army personnel who “sacrificed parts of their bodies” for Syria underlines the Syrians’ will and determination to rebuild Syria.
