Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed with his Egyptian counterpart Sameh Shoukry the situation in Syria.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement that a telephone conversation was held between Lavrov and Shoukry where views were exchanged on key regional issues with a focus on the situation in Syria and resolving the crisis in it.
Issues of cooperation between Moscow and Cairo at the UN Security Council were also discussed, the Ministry added, stressing that talks touched upon the needed practical steps for the Russian-Egyptian cooperation.
