Provinces, SANA – The Army and Armed Forces continued on Wednesday carrying out operations against terrorist organizations in several areas across the country.

Damascus Countryside

A military source told SANA that an Army and Armed Forces unit reestablished control over 8 blocks of buildings to the southwest of Tal Abu Siyyeh in Khan al-Shih area in the western Damascus Countryside after eliminating the last remaining gatherings of terrorists in it.

The source also said that another army unit killed more than 30 terrorists and destroyed 12 of their vehicles in al-Darkhabieh, while other units thwarted terrorists’ attempt to attack a number of military posts in Jobar neighborhood, Erbin, Tal al-Sawan, and Hatitet al-Jarash in the eastern Damascus Countryside, inflicting heavy losses upon them in personnel and equipment.

Aleppo

The Syrian army air force destroyed 13 vehicles, equipped with heavy machine guns for ISIS in Rasm al-Imam in Aleppo eastern countryside.

Earlier, the army units, in cooperation with the allied forces, carried out special operations against the gatherings of terrorist organizations, restoring control over the Water Establishment, the factories of Beer, Glass and Carpets in the direction of al-Kindi Hospital and 10 blocks of buildings in the direction of al-Amyria neighborhood in Aleppo city, according to a military source.

The source said that during the operations, the army destroyed a command center for terrorist organizations and killed more than 20 of their members while the rest of them ran away leaving their weapons and ammunition.

Daraa

An Army and Armed forces unit carried out intensive operations against gatherings and hotbeds of Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Daraa al-Balad area.

A military source told SANA that a position for terrorists in al-Abbasyieh neighborhood was destroyed in the operations and a number of them were killed in Daraa al-Balad area.

Army units killed a number of terrorists who were bulldozing lands for making sand barriers to the southeast of the Electricity Establishment and in al-Naziheen Camp in Daraa al-Balad.

The source added that the army continued its operations against terrorists’ gatherings in Daraa al-Mahata, destroying 3 fortified points to the east of Busra Square and a car to the south of Qtifan Building in addition to killing a number of terrorists.

The source pointed out that an army unit eliminated a terrorist group and destroyed its weapons and ammunition in accurate strikes to the northwest of al-Gharia al-Gharbia Bridge in the northeast countryside of Daraa.

Another army unit killed a number of terrorists and injured many others to the east of al-Naima town.

Quneitra 

Units of the army, in cooperation with popular defense groups, killed and wounded nearly 15 terrorists of Jabhat al-Nusra in a special operation against one of their gatherings in al-Naqqar village in Quneitra countryside.

The army’s operation fully destroyed the gathering of the terrorists.

Homs/Hama

According to a military source, an Army and Armed forces unit carried out a number of ambushes in areas where terrorist groups carried out infiltration attempts between Salamyieh countryside and al-Rastan area, confiscating a huge amount of munitions that were prepared to be smuggled to al-Rastan.

Army units, supported by the air force, destroyed gatherings for Jabhat al-Nusra in the villages of Tal Zahab, Borj Kai, Ezz Eddin, al-Quneitrat, Deir Foul and Um Sharshoh in the countryside of Homs.

Army units, in cooperation with popular defense groups, thwarted a large attack by the terrorists of “Jaish al-Fatah”, “Jaish al-Ezz” and “al-Firqa al-Wusta” in the direction of Abu Obida, Jabin and Tal Milh in the northwest countryside of Hama,killing 48 of them, injuring tens others and destroying BMB vehicles, armored vehicles, cars loaded with ammunition and 5 vehicles equipped with heavy machineguns.

Deir Ezzor

Army and Armed Forces units destroy positions, gatherings and vehicles of the ISIS terrorist organization in the neighborhoods of al-Omal, al-Jubaila, al-Roshdieh, al-Howaika, to the west of Tal Barouk and to the east of Deir Ezzor Airport.
