Tehran stresses it supports any decision that leads to stability in Syria

Tehran, SANA – Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Bahram Qasimi asserted his country’s support for any decision that may contribute to stabilizing the situation in Syria, affirming that reaching a political solution is the only way to resolve the crisis there.

Qasimin highlighted the importance of having guarantees for implementing the Russian-US agreement on the cessation of hostilities in Syria so that it won’t be exploited for transporting weapons and members to the terrorist organizations.

He stressed that sending humanitarian aid during the period of the cessation of hostilities must be done without discrimination and include the towns besieged by the terrorist organizations.
