Lavrov, Kerry agree to hold talks on the crisis in Syria in Geneva on September 8th and 9th

Moscow, SANA- Russian Foreign Ministry announced on Wednesday that Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov agreed with his US counterpart John Kerry to hold talks about the crisis in Syria in Geneva on September 8th and 9th.

TASS News Agency quoted the Russian Foreign Ministry as saying in a statement that the two ministers reached that agreement during a telephone call and they discussed the remaining details of the agreements regarding the Russian-US cooperation in combating terrorist groups in Syria, in addition to expanding the delivery of Humanitarian aid and launching the political process among the Syrian parties.

On Tuesday, Lavrov and Kerry discussed during their meeting on the sidelines of G20 summit in the Chinese city of Hangzhou mechanisms of cooperation between the two countries in combating terrorism in Syria.
