Damascus, SANA – The People’s Assembly continued on Tuesday discussing the government’s ministerial statement on its work program for its next stage.
The Assembly members’ discussions focused on the priorities of governmental work taking into account available resources, with members calling for revitalizing the agricultural sector via strategic policies and encouraging investment in this sector.
The members also called for coordinating the efforts of the State Ministry for Reconciliation Affairs and the efforts of the Assembly’s Reconciliation Committee, while others stressed the need for prioritizing improving citizens’ living conditions, calling for creating new job opportunities for youths, revising school curricula, and caring for the families of martyrs.
They also called for returning displaced people to their homes once the army restores security and stability to them, rationalizing expenditures, combating administrative corruption, and protecting local industries.
