Lattakia/Homs, SANA-Official and popular delegations visited on Friday the tomb of the Late President Hafez al-Assad in al-Qurdaha city in Lattakia on the 16th anniversary of his death.
The visiting delegations laid wreathes on the tomb and recited al-Fatiha, recalling the late president’s achievements in building Syria which stands firm in facing the terrorist war waged against it.
In Homs, the Youth Office in Al-Baath Arab Socialist Party branch, in cooperation with the Revolutionary Youth Union (RYU) branch in the province organized a national event in which the participants affirmed their readiness to defend their homeland and preserve its sovereignty and dignity.
Following the event, the participants headed to al-Qurdaha city to visit the tomb of the Late President.
