Damascus, SANA – The names of accepted candidates for the upcoming People’s Assembly’s elections will be announced tomorrow Monday, according to the Higher Judicial Committee for Elections.

The Committee’s Head Hisham al-Shaar told SANA in a statement that the candidacy sub-committees are still in the process of studying the legal status of the candidates’ applications.

The process started on March 3. The number of applications is 111341 from all provinces.

The coming parliamentary elections will be held on April 13, 2016. Elections are held every four years, with the previous vote taking place in 2012.
