Damascus, SANA – Minister of Economy and Foreign Trade Humam al-Jazaeri discussed with Indian Ambassador in Damascus Man Mohan Bhanot means of
enhancing economic, trade, investment and development relations between the two friendly countries.
During their meeting on Tuesday, al-Jazaeri stressed the importance of setting up a framework for future cooperation between Syria and India.
Preparations for holding the 3rd session of the Syrian-Indian joint committee were focused on as the committee forms a regulatory framework to follow up on various areas of mutual cooperation.
The two sides also discussed the prospects of starting joint development programs with the aim of supporting the Small and Medium Project Development Commission in Syria through benefiting from the Indian expertise, in addition to enhancing
investment cooperation with the Indian private sector.
