First batch of “voluntary brigades” graduated in Damascus Countryside- Video

Damascus Countryside, SANA-In response to the aspirations of citizens to take up arms together with the Syrian Arab army to eliminate the Takfiri terrorism and assume the sacred duty to defend the homeland, the first batch of “voluntary brigades” was graduated on Monday in Damascus Countryside.

Governor of Damascus Countryside Hussein Makhlouf and number of the Syrian Arab army commanders attended to the graduation ceremony.

The graduated combatants presented a field practice which imitates the real military operations showing their skills in using different kinds of weapons, storming terrorist fortified positions, planting explosive devices, ensure firing coverage for the army’s progress and fixing the points restored by the army.

 Makhlouf, for his part, said that citizens of Damascus Countryside had rejected to stay with terrorist organizations as all Syrians have a sense of national belonging, so they  joined the voluntary brigades and other forms of national defense groups under the umbrella of the Syrian Arab Army to restore stability and security to their areas.

One of the army’s officers who supervised the volunteers said that Syria’s enemies have sought to make Damascus Countryside province a gathering for criminals, plotters and hatred, but Damascus countryside’s citizens rushed to join the brigades to fight altogether with the army and purify Syria from the Takfiri terrorism.
