Russia-US-UN talks on Syria to be held in Geneva December 11

Moscow, SANA- A source at the Russian Foreign Ministry expected the first session of tripartite consultations between representatives of Russia, the United States and the United Nations on the situation in Syria to be held in Geneva on December 11 after a long cessation.

The source told Interfax news agency that the tripartite consolations on Syria, which will be attended by UN special envoy for Syria Staffan de Mistura, are listed on the agenda in Geneva on Friday.

U.S. State Secretary John Kerry announced that he will visit Russia in the next week to hold talks with the Russian President Vladimir Putin and Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov to discuss ways to settle the crisis in Syria.
