Brussels, SANA-Secretary General of NATO Jens Stoltenberg said on Monday that the organization supports all efforts aiming at finding a solution to the crisis in Syria, although this could take time, but “We found a new desire to boost efforts for a political settlement and end violence in the country.”
At a press conference, Stoltenberg called for keeping calm and stopping escalation between Russia and Turkey after the Turkish violation of the Syrian sovereignty where Turkish warplanes downed a Russian jet which was bombarding sites of terrorist organizations over the Syrian lands.
He affirmed the need for avoiding such incidents that would turn into crises and lead to new problems which could hinder the efforts exerted to reach a political solution to the crisis in Syria.
