Syrian-Russian cooperation in fighting terrorism made field victories, PA Speaker says

Damascus, SANA- Speaker of the People’s Assembly Mohammad Jihad al-Laham stressed the important role of the Syrian communities in conveying the fact of what is happening in Syria and the terrorist war being waged against it for about five years in addition to their role in the reconstructing what the terrorist organizations destroyed.

During his meeting with the delegation of Syrian community in Russia on Sunday, al-Laham pointed out that the government exerts all efforts in maintaining the basic requirements of the citizens, mainly food and medicine, and improving the service situation which was damaged due to the terror of the armed organizations.

The Syrian-Russian cooperation in the field of fighting terrorism since less than a month has resulted in big victories in the field by the Syrian Arab Army and consecutive defeats among the ranks of the terrorist organizations, the Speaker
said, asserting that the international alliance, led by the US, has proven its failure following more than a year of its formation because it is no more than a formal and misleading alliance.

Chairman of the Syrian community in Russia, Wael Jnaid, in turn, hailed the Syrian people’s resilience in facing the terrorist war and the valor of the champions of the Syrian army and their determination to restore security and stability to their homeland.

Jnaid expressed all members of the Syrian community’s readiness to participate in the
reconstruction of their homeland, reiterating that as Syria will remain the cradle of civilization, amity, coexistence and peace.

Today’s meeting came within the framework of the delegation’s series of meetings scheduled with senior Syrian officials, while the delegation launched a campaign for supporting the Syrian pound at the Commercial Bank of Syria on October 20th.
