Two Syrian films participate in Sao Paulo International Film Festival

Damascus, SANA- Syrian films “The Mother” and “Four O’clock at Paradise”, produced by the Syrian General Establishment of Cinema, will participate in Sao Paulo International Film Festival to be held from Oct. 25th till Nov. 4th.

Director of the Media Office at the establishment, Nidal Qush’ha said that the administration of the festival welcomed the participation of the Syrian films by saying “It is our great honor to screen these two films at our festival.”

Qush’ha said that Sao Paulo Festival is the most important film festival in Latin America, adding that it is the first participation of the General Establishment of Cinema in such an international film festival in Latin America.

Artist Sabah al-Jazaeri won the best actress award at Oran Arab Film Festival 2015 for her role in “The Mother” film by director Basel al-Khatib.

“Four O’clock at Paradise” film by director Mohammad Abdul-Aziz won the Special Jury Award at the 31st Alexandria Film Festival while one half of Faten Hamama Award for Best Actress was given to Actress Nawwar Yusef for her role in the film.
