Syria’s accession to the Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW) requires the support of the WHO and other organizations for a lab specialized in dealing with chemical and toxic materials to be established, the minister added.

Hoff, for her part, underlined mutual cooperation with the Syrian Health Ministry in consolidating national alert and response capabilities during the process of destroying chemical weapons in Syria.
