Russian airstrikes target 86 ISIS sites in Syria

Moscow, SANA – Russian Defense Ministry announced on Tuesday that the Russian Air Force hit 86 targets of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in Raqqa, Hama, Idleb, Lattakia and Aleppo during the past 24 hours.

The spokesperson for the Ministry Igor Konashenkov said Su-34, Su-24M and Su-25SM warplanes carried out 88 sorties against 86 terrorist infrastructure targets.

The strikes, he added, destroyed command posts, ammunition and armament depots, vehicles, and plants for making explosives, field camps and terrorists’ bases.

Konashenkov noted that Su-30 warplanes joined the aircrafts taking part in targeting terrorist organizations’ sites in Syria.
