Damascus, SANA – Damascus Chamber of Industry organized Sunday, as part of “Live Syria 2015″campaign, its Shopping festival at al-Jala’a Sports Complex in Mazzeh area, Damascus city.
70 Syrian food, detergents, clothing, perfumes, and other consumer products companies are participating in the festival, which lasts till October 17th.
Chairman of Damascus Chamber of Industry Samer al-Debs said that the resumption of holding this festival asserts the local industry’s ability to prove its presence at the local markets and contributes to fighting the increase of the exchange rate through discounts.
He pointed out that the Chamber intends to re-organize a new sales cycle for the festival in Tartous city with a large scale participation of various industrial specializations and to establish a permanent center for the Syrian industries to be sold directly to the consumer with low prices.
The first monthly shopping festival was held in April at al-Jala’a Sports Complex in Damascus while other festivals till October were organized in different provinces throughout 2015.
“Live Syria 2015” is an initiative that will continue throughout the year with the participation of individuals, establishments, and companies from the public and private sectors with the aim of providing facilitations and services to people and improve their living standards.
