244 food packages distributed to displaced families in al-Baath city, Quneitra

Quneitra, SANA – 244 food packages were distributed to terrorism-affected families in al-Baath city in the southern Quneitra province this week.

The distribution process was carried out by the Syrian Arab Red Crescent (SARC) in cooperation with the administrative unit in al-Baath city.

Dr. Jum’a Hassan, chairman of the SARC branch in Quneitra, told SANA their work is not limited to providing humanitarian aid to needy people, but also involves contributing to rehabilitating all the necessary infrastructure in the makeshift centers that host displaced people.

For his part, Imad al-Rahban, head of al-Baath city’s Municipality, said 244 families benefited from the aid distributed out of 500 families who receive aid periodically.

In June, 604 food packages were distributed to displaced families in al-Baath city.
