Damascus Countryside, SANA- On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Syrian Army foundation, Minister of Social Affairs Dr. Kinda al-Shammat visited on Thursday a number of military checkpoints in al-Zabadani in Damascus Countryside.
Al-Shammat affirmed in a statement to SANA that the homeland is for those who defend it, adding that the Syrian Arab Army was able to preserve the prestige of the state and its institutions by being present on all fronts and thanks to its devotion and dedication.
The minister expressed appreciation for the Army’s heroes who are combating terrorism all over Syria to restore stability and security to every inch of the Syrian land, adding that her visit accompanied by Syrian ladies send a clear message to the world that the Syrian women stand side by side with Syrian Army and support it in its battle against terrorism.
For their part, the army personnel affirmed their determination to go ahead in confronting terrorism in all its forms.
