A Syrian map memorial built in the Martyr’s Cemetery in Homs

Homs, SANA – A group of volunteers established a memorial featuring Syria’s map inside the Martyrs Cemetery in al-Arman neighborhood in Homs city on Friday.

This came in the framework of a campaign to clean up the cemetery and decorate it with flowers.

The campaign aims at “honoring the souls of the martyrs who died while defending the homeland,” said Saeed al-Mustafa, director of al-Ataa (Giving) Club, the campaign’s organizer.

Since its inception in 2011, the Club has carried out a variety of activities in various relief, service and awareness-raising fields, in addition to organizing blood donation drives and campaigns for supporting the Syrian pound.
