Damascus, SANA- The Syrian football Olympic team will hold a training camp in Damascus in the period between July 22nd and July 31st in preparation for the next international championships.
The camp is the first to be held by the team after advancing to the finals of AFC U-23 Asian Cup last March after beating the Indian, Bengali, and Uzbekistani teams. The finals of the Asian Cup will be held in Qatar in January 2016.
The Olympic team will also participate in the 1st West Asian Junior Championship to be held in Qatar between the end of September and beginning of October.
Coach of the Olympic team Mohanad al-Faqir said that the training camp will be a chance to prepare for the West Asian Championship which has become an official championship that would be a gate for the Olympic team into Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
