Iran: Davutoglu’s entering Syrian territories “dangerous step”

Tehran, SANA – Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marzieh Afkham, described Turkish

Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu’s sneaking into the Syrian territories as a dangerous step that may lead to complicating the situation, stressing the need for respecting states’ sovereignty.

In a statement on Monday, Afkham said that some states are mistaken, having wrong calculations regarding the changes and circumstances taking place in the region, urging to avoid provocative and inciting measures in this regard.
She affirmed that respecting the international laws and the sovereignty of states are acknowledged principles that should be respected by all states.

Earlier, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister Fayssal Mikdad stressed that Davutoglu’s sneaking into the Syrian territories purportedly to visit the new site of tomb of Suleyman Shah near the Syrian-Turkish borders is a violation of the international law and of countries’ sovereignty.
