Moscow, SANA- Member of Syria’s national team for athletics Majd Eddin Ghazal on Saturday won the gold medal in the high jump competition held in the framework of Moscow Open Cup.
Ghazal was ranked first achieving a 224cm- jump while Syrian athlete Ghufran Mohammad won the silver medal in 400m hurdle race achieving a time of about 57.95 seconds while her colleague Alaa Laila was ranked sixth in the 200m race.
The participation of the national team in the event comes in the framework of its training camp in Russia which started at the beginning of May and which will last till May 25th.
