International organizations: “Israel” hurdles humanitarian agencies’ work in Gaza

Washington, SANA- Delivering assistance faces huge obstacles in Gaza given to closing roads and airstrikes carried out by the Israeli occupation, international organizations asserted.

The Washington Post quoted World Food Program (WFP) as saying “Humanitarian works have become severely difficult in Rafah as the Israeli occupation aggressions over the recent weeks resulted in blocking the roads, and consequently a delay in delivering aid to families”.

The Program’s Executive director Cindy McCain made it clear that the humanitarian works on the floating pier built off the coast of the Gaza following the aggression in Al Nuseirat Camp have been stopped in central Gaza, adding that this made the situation more difficult and complicated.

Director of UNRWA Operations in the West Bank Scott Anderson noted that the difficulty of entering the aid into Gaza makes the process of distributing assistance items just a chaos.
