Syrian and Iraqi health ministers discuss ways to enhance cooperation

Geneva / SANA-Minister of Health, Hassan al-Ghabbash, discussed with his Iraqi counterpart, Saleh Mahdi al-Hasnawi, prospects of boosting joint health cooperation.

During the meeting held on the sidelines of the 77th World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, the two sides agreed to enhance joint cooperation, especially with regard to the pharmaceutical industries, and to continue facilitating the registration of Syrian medicines in Iraq.

The two sides also attached great importance to taking a unified Arab position on the health and humanitarian repercussions of the ongoing Israeli aggression against the Palestinians.

The Seventy-seventh World Health Assembly is being held  on 27 May – 1 June 2024. The theme of this year’s Health Assembly is: All for Health, Health for All.
