Russian air defense systems repel two Ukrainian attacks in Kursk and Belgorod

Moscow, SANA- Russian air defense systems today repelled two Ukrainian attacks using a balloon and drones over the Kursk and Belgorod regions west of the country.

“An attempted Ukrainian terrorist attack using a small-size balloon on facilities on the territory of Russia in Kursk Region was thwarted, and the air defense systems destroyed the balloon,” Sputnik quoted the Russian Ministry of Defense as saying in a statement Tuesday.

The statement added that “air defense systems also destroyed 3 Ukrainian drones that attempted to carry out a terrorist attack against targets on the territory of the Russian Federation in Belgorod Region.”

Ukrainian forces continue their attempts to target Russian territory almost daily using missiles and drones, causing many civilian casualties, in addition to material losses.
