Security Council fails to issue statement holding the Israeli entity responsible for al-Rashid Street massacre in Gaza

New York, SANA- The United States failed Friday to issue a presidential statement to the Security Council holding the Israeli occupation responsible for the brutal massacre committed against Palestinians in al-Rashid Street in Gaza city.

Wafa News Agency reported that the Council held a closed session at the request of Algeria, as the draft presidential statement put on the council’s table, in which the 15 members expressed their deep concern about the massacre committed by the occupation forces by opening fire on thousands of Palestinian, as well as the Israeli entity is responsible for this massacre.

Although 14 members supported the presidential statement, the US, a permanent member of the Council, failed to approve it.

The US has prevented six times the adoption of a resolution in the Security Council to stop the continued aggression against Gaza Strip since the 17th of last October.
