Cairo, SANA- Syria’s Permanent Representative to the Arab League, Ambassador Hossam El-Din Ala, stressed the importance of strengthening the role of Arab institutions in activating Arab solidarity to confront the dangers facing the Arab nation.
That came during Ambassador Ala’s meeting on Wednesday with Speaker of the Arab Parliament, Adel bin Abdurrahman Al Asoumi.
He stressed the need to support the efforts of Arab countries to overcome challenges they face in various fields, particularly in the face of terrorism, occupation, and unilateral coercive measures imposed by Western countries, underlying the importance of parliamentary diplomacy in this field.
He highlighted the ways to strengthen joint relations between the Arab Parliament and Syria.
The Syrian diplomat called for overcoming differences and consolidating efforts in this crucial stage which the Arab nation is passing through to deter the ongoing Israeli aggression against Gaza Strip, underlining the necessity of supporting the Palestinian people.
For his part, Al Asoumi expressed keenness to strengthen cooperation and intensify communication and consultation during the next stage with Syria.
He shed light on Syria’s pivotal role on the Arab level and its role in creating an Arab reality capable of confronting risks.
