Minister Mikdad discusses with Vietnamese counterpart means of boosting bilateral ties

Damascus, SANA- Strengthening bilateral relations were the focus of the telephone call held today between Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Fayssal Mikdad, and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam, Bui Thanh Son.

Minister Bui Thanh Son stressed his country’s keenness to bolster relations with Syria, hailing the Syrians for their triumph over terrorist war been waged against them.

The Vietnamese minister also voiced the readiness of his country to provide every possible assistance for Syria in the reconstruction phase, along with intention to offer help for those affected by February earthquake.

Mikdad, in turn, voiced Syria’s thanks and welcome for any assistance offered to the Syrian people, along with getting benefit from Vietnamese expertise in reconstruction which would constitutes a common experience for the two friendly states.

The two ministers attached great importance to sustain consistent consultation and cooperation, along with offering mutual support in the international forums.
