Two gold and silver medals for Syrian inventor at Fourth Global Invention Forum, Cyprus

Damascus, SANA- Syrian inventor Issam Hamdi, a member of the Syrian Society for Scientific Research and Publishing, won two gold and silver medals in the competition program at the Fourth Global Invention Forum held in Cyprus recently.

Hamdi told SANA reporter that he received the gold medal for his design of a steam turbine dedicated to farms and fields to pump water directly to them from depths of less than 50 meters and generates electricity and operates pumps for farms at a depth greater than 50 meters.

As for the silver medal, Hamdi added that it was for his design of a method to build fast- fabricated houses to shelter those affected by earthquakes by pouring one of the appropriate types of quick-hardening foam into molds.

According to Hamdi, one mold can construct a house within an hour, so with ten molds we can construct about 5,000 houses within a month.
