Iraq offers 60 thousand tons of Kerosene to Syria to help address quake effects

Baghdad, SANA- The Iraqi Government decided, on Tuesday, to “donate” tons of Kerosene to Syria following the devastating earthquake that has jolted the country recently.

The Iraqi Prime Minister’s media office said in a statement that PM Mohamad Shi’a al-Sudani directed the relevant authorities to send 60,000 tons of Kerosene to Syria, according to SANA correspondent in Baghdad.

The statement added that the Kerosene will be transported by the Syrian side from the al-Mikhtaf area in the Iraqi territorial waters.

This decision comes within the framework of the Iraqi stand by Syria in addressing the repercussions of the violent earthquake.
