Aksyonov : Prompt measures to be put in place for returning Crimean Bridge to work

Moscow, SANA- President of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, announced that measures will be drawn up to restore the work of the Crimean Bridge targeted by a terrorist act Saturday morning, and this will start after the end of the security investigation procedures.

“Today, I will participate in the work of the government commission to find out the reasons for what happened on the bridge, where measures will be taken to remove the damage and restore what was destroyed,” Sputnik quoted Aksyonov as saying in a statement.

Aksionov added” Work will begin immediately after the investigation authorities’ procedures are completed, calling on all residents to remain calm and patient as the situation is still under control.”

Earlier, Russia’s National Anti-Terrorism Committee had announced that the Crimean Bridge accident was caused by a truck explosion near a train on the bridge, which led to a fire caught in a number of fuel tanks in the train, noting that the accident caused the suspension of the movement of cars and trains on the bridge.
