Damascus, SANA- Health Minister Hassan al-Ghabbash on Sunday discussed with WHO Regional Director for the Eastern Mediterranean Ahmed al Mandhari ways to boost cooperation in the health domain.
During the meeting held at Health Ministry, al-Ghabbash stressed that the terrorist war imposed on Syria greatly affected the health sector, expressing the importance of receiving more sustainable support from the organization, especially during the spread of epidemics and diseases, and cooperation to achieve health security in Syria.
For his part, Mandhari said that Syria faced many challenges and difficult conditions during the war, pointing out to the organization’s readiness to work as a team with the Ministry to ensure the provision of the best health services.
