Syrian-DPRK Joint Technical Committee discusses rehabilitation of engineering industries companies

Damascus, SANA- Syrian and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) have discussed the possibility of benefiting from the technical expertise of the DPRK in rehabilitating production lines and machines of the General Organization for Engineering Industries companies affected by the terrorist war and the systematic destruction of the industrial sector.

That came during a meeting held Wednesday by the Syrian-Korean Joint Technical Committee for Joint Industrial Cooperation at the Ministry of Industry.

During its meeting, chaired by Minister of Industry Ziad Sabbagh and Chargé d’affaires at the Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea in Damascus, Kim Hey Ryong, the committee discussed the current status of the companies of the General Organization for Engineering Industries offered for investment.

It was agreed to draw a road map for joint cooperation between the two countries, and to inspect on the ground the technical and legal status of companies to have an idea about their needs of machines, equipment and production lines to restart them productively.
